If Nelson were to add that level of customization in-game, he’d pretty much have to accept that he can’t police the content that people create in-game. You can’t exactly report a person for making obscene decals, if you don’t even know who it was that originally put those decals on a vehicle. I don’t personally care whether NSFW content can be made in the vanilla game or not, but there’s probably some people who feel strongly about freedom of expression or keeping content safe.

I’d say cosmetic variations could apply to all sorts of objects.

we just have to hope that people arent too childish so that they go around painting dicks and stuff on Everything, If we get free painting and stuff which I hope we do :)) But I wouldnt want to see painted dicks and childish stuff like that painted everywhere on Everything

Yes! That’d be amazing, but I’m suggesting cars for now to be done as it hopefully would be easier to do than gun model customization and such which would be much more complex.

I don’t see what free painting would actually do for gameplay. Why not use signs?

Paints should only be for painting walls, pillars, furniture, as well as vehicles. Free drawing serves no purpose for actual gameplay that can’t be achieved using other methods.

It doesn’t affect gameplay, paints don’t either. But cosmetic variation can drive many to play the game. Heck, just look at Overwatch. Fun game with people dumping credit cards to get skins. Unturned II has an even greater opportunity to monetize and or bring players back into the game. It also adds a fun little mechanic that can potentially expand to something close to FashionFrame in Warframe.

I don’t mean vehicle skins, I mean free painting, like a draw tool (which is what them and I are talking about, and what I was referring to). I think painting cars different colours with paints found in mechanics shops/selecting camouflage colours or something would be good in game, but I don’t see how some detailed thing just to put skins on cars would be worth Nelson’s time, nor do I see what good purpose it will actually serve and if it will even be utilized.

Also, Overwatch is shitty.
