A bolas (plural: bolas or bolases ; from Spanishbola , “ball”, also known as boleadoras ) is a type of throwing weapon made of weights on the ends of interconnected cords, used to capture animals by entangling their legs.
Panda maybe you should use google when you don’t understand someones suggestion. These would be very useful as a makeshift hunting tool and would actually fit the game pretty well. All you would need is some stones and rope and you can go hunt.
100% serious. (!)
Page not found, I think this “mine craft” might all be in your imagination. danaby’s idea was truly an original and groundbreaking idea, one of which should be considered for unturned II
I hope you didn’t believed this otherwise, i feel sorry for you .
anyway, i would love to see :
Tripwires
Tripwire would be a special items that would be connected to traps, when stepping on the wire, it would activate a variety of system . It could be used for pre-electric systems .
What can we do with thoses ?
Tripwire connected to a bell
Tripwire connected to a bottle, when you step on the wire, it fall and alert everyone but consume the bottle item
Tripwire connected to a gasoline tank and a torch… ugh… you don’t wanna know what happen to the one stepping on it
Tripwire connected to a hatch… when you step on it, it free a angry dog that bite you to death
Conservation furnitures ( when in normal or harder )
Conservation Storage, using salt or ice cube ( if you can find thoses on your map ),you could conserve food longer , and if you can’t find thoses, another way would be meat dryer, if you lack salt, you could also dry meat ( and also vegetables ) to expand their lifetime before consumption
What can we do with thoses ?
Drying food, or keeping it at cold would allow more food variety, of course, it would be replaced by end-game fridges but would allow more food conservation options and so, reduce the needed food farm
Dried food would also use less space / weight as most of the water has been evaporated
Comfort furnitures
A idea that might come out early is safety or utility furnitures, here, i brought you a small list of potential furnitures you could have , like wooden chairs, shutters or even small wooden figures to decorate your home, here, we are not talking about utility at all, just an addition that could definitely make you feel home even when civilisation went extinct
What can we do with thoses ?
Simply decorate one own house, it would definitely bring a better atmosphere to the austere calm in most unturned house .
Thoses same furnitures could also be great items for quests ( with NPC ) or even for trading, i believe it could sorta be an additional currency .
I think being able to craft guns would probably not fit into the style of Unturned. However I think being able to craft simple attachments like suppressors or makeshift sights would be cool
Except there was a craftable gun in 3.0 and for all intents and purposes it was a fine addition. It fits the style just fine, have I no clue what you’re getting at. Having more crude weapons you can construct could lead to a more interesting loot progression.
As long as the makeshift firearms could be balanced similarly to weapons like bows, slings, slingshots, slings, slingstones, javelines, spearthrowers, and spearguns (not saying all of these should or shouldn’t be added as makeshift weapons) then I don’t really see the problem. This is one of the reasons why I stuck to single shot weapons in my suggestion.
Note: I’m assuming by craftable, you only meant makeshift (made from basic resources) rather than all things that can be crafted (technically the sawed-off shotgun in 3.X was craftable)
Exactly. Essentially, as long they’re bad compared to what you can find in the spawn-tables I really don’t understand how the addition of more craft weapons could be considered bad. Besides, UII is NOT 3.0 and doesn’t necessarily have the same “style” as it.
