Simply, what whould you like to see? Have several areas upgraded (pirates cove, bunker, prison, exa)? have areas return? (mannequin island in 2.0, fallen safezone on the docks), or something totally new?
Shall the map terrain reflect real life PEI?
Shall there be hostile animals roaming?
There be snow? Exa.
Personally I’ll like to see the lab return, maybe revamped with a close quarters underground complex, or for there to be a prison ferry station to and fro, and overall more islands.
For all 4.X maps, I’d like things like overall larger maps, seasonal weather, longer engagement ranges, and map roaming zombies. For PEI specifically, I’d like locations from both 3.X and 2.X to return, and with the better agriculture of 4.X, I hope PEI has plenty of potatoes and blue raspberries, it doesn’t feel like PEI without them.
Here’s my opinion on PEI being in 4.x. In my opinion, it’d be way better if it was a workshop created map. I think this would be better just because it would allow Nelson to work on other new ideas. Rather than him re-working a map that he updated so many times. Instead, the community should take the step to re-make the Unturned original map. It would be way more exciting to see it workshop created later down the line of 4.x than seeing it as an official 4.x map.
In 3.x PEI is the centre of attention. So we wouldn’t really want PEI to take that spot again in 4.x.
I do think it would be a nice touch if we got some notes scattered around Pineridge (the same way we’d find them in 3.x) which mention PEI in some way.
I would like to see Saint Peter’s Island, O’Leary Military Base, Burywood, etc. etc. You get what I’m saying, I want it to be more like it was in the days of 2.0.
I found it personally better back then.
Saint Pete’s island?
. Shameless self promotion
.
Also, I would like to see a return to pei, but more survival based, and a darker feel to it. Sorta like the pei V3 map on the workshop.
What if neither of those locations even existed in a revamped PEI?
The point of a revamped PEI is to not copy-paste it with just some more stuff on top of it. I doubt people would even want the same heightmap used again, so we can stop with the croissant geography too.
