How to bake in new editor?

1. i made a collection for foliage (one resource, one object)
   
   
2. added the GUID of the collection to my material
   
   
3. clicking bake globla/local does this (it dosent increase)
   

extra info :

i dont have a foliage system/volume rn, but even with that it wouldnt bake

there dosent seem to be anything suspicious in the file (in fact there’s nothing at all)
