Set your refresh rate to your monitor’s refresh rate. For some reason its automatically set to 0 for me. After that lower your graphics if needed.
It doesn’t really affect performance for me because if I set it to low then the FPS will maybe be max 10 FPS more than set on epic.
And btw if I turn Vsync on then it will stay around 30 fps but I want it to be 60.
lol
You can also go to:
C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\U4\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor and open GameUserSettings.ini and change sg.ResolutionQuality to <100.
This can give a little boost to fps.
Also I think moving targets causes that lags
All setting set to lowest with full screen 1680x1050:22-23 fps (while looking at the targets)
All setting set to lowest with windowed 1280x720: (same)
Yeah,I think we should wait for an optimization update because currently if you don’t have quite a high-grade computer, the demo is probably gonna run like doodoo for you.
(I’m not trying to complain,I know this is a very early demo, and it’s meant to be unstable,I’m just reporting my experience with it)
This version has a serious optimisation flaw in rendering even distant landscape
This information is relatively useless without posting any specs. The Firing Range Demo runs better for me than the Vehicle Demo, and I’m running higher graphical settings than I did on the Vehicle Demo.
EDIT: Speccy.Piriform wasn’t working so I’ll just manually post some of my own specs.
- Windows 10 (64-bit)
- Intel Core i5 6600K
- 2047MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
- 8 GB of RAM
Both demos have around the same FPS for me either using a 1080ti and ryzen 7 1800x
You and @P9nda have a relatively high end computer,so yes it might. But here we are talking about the people with low-medium specs having issues.
I believe there is just something wrong with the optimization of the demo on lower end systems and Nelson will work on a fix.
I have a gtx 1050 ti
I5 6400
16 th of ram
1tb hard drive
you is my hero
If your system had problems, something has gone TERRIBLY wrong with this demo.
I tried setting the Refresh Rate according to my screen,as you suggested, but it didn’t change much, even with the changing settings on low.And I run the vechicle demo much easier
Your refresh rate shouldn’t be impacting your FPS. Regardless, I still tried messing around with a second character profile to see if the 0 Hz was actually dragging down performance for some reason, and although I found that to be inconclusive I’d recommend still just changing it off 0.
What are your specs? If they’re incredibly low-end, then I wouldn’t expect great performance. Older hardware is not going to work forever; support for it just isn’t guaranteeable. U4 is not going to work on incredibly low-end hardware, regardless of how optimized the game becomes.
Maybe my monitor could make it look laggy.
I have
Intel celeron 2.8ghz
Gt 710
4gb ram ddr3
500gb hdd
everything on low smallest resolution 1024-720 except the grass the grass is on epic but i didnt see it to have any fps impact
when looking at the firing place i get 16-6 fps
when looking at the other direction 20-30 fps
almost 300 fps in menu
around 60 fps on the bomber
Your hardware, my, and several others do not escape the standards of low current specifications, of course, if he said his pc specifications would facilitate the identification of some problems, but if he is sure that performance compared to the demonstration of the vehicle declined, so no what to discuss, the game did not change performance on stronger boards like the GTX 1060 and 1080 but in the lower hardware performance is still still bad, for sure he did not have time to optimize as he did not have time to animate the arms of character, while not holding anything, the game is still very heavy for the GPUs, we will only have a good unfold as the beta evolves until pineridge be released along with survival mode.
just basically disable vsync.
but my v sync is already disabled
AMD Phenom 2 x4 940 3Ghz
GTX 550 ti 1gb
4gb RAM
500gb 7200rpm hard drive.
I ran the vechicle demo on medium-high settings 1680x1050 resolution with 35-40 fps almost all the time, and I run this one with around 20 when looking down the range and 28-30 when not,in the same resolution at the lowest settings.
- @Panda3d I don’t think so,it has to be REALLY old in order for that to be the case.
My mother board and psu is really Chinese bootleg
Well,if it gets the job done and doesn’t break in 2 years,it doesn’t really matter where it’s from.
