That’s interesting, I’ve thought about it before. The map tries to felsh out the past of the Anomaly as much as it can and for the most part it’s really interesting stuff, but maybe due to an oversight or for whatever other reason it never bothers to explain why exactly the entity decided to inhabit… a lighthouse of all things? Beyond iconography you’d think there would have to be more to it and maybe I haven’t looked for the evidence thoroughly enough, but it strikes me as a bit of a missed opportunity. Which sort of sucks because I love everything else about the storytelling on Buak. I think this was one of the important questions which should have been answered.
