Perhaps my last serious post and warning
Took two and a half years for you to realize that people don’t support you injecting your personal politics into the game, with the exception of the EULA post, and even that was widely contested on the anti-P2W aspect.
What I don’t understand is that the game isn’t even out of closed demo yet, and you’re already screeching about the game being a disaster. We don’t know the details of the EULA yet. We don’t know the details of the Paywall, or if there will even be one. There’s not even Plugins out yet (that I know of) for players or staff to abuse yet, or for people to pay for, but you’re acting as if all of them are set in stone. It makes you look immature and as if you’re making mountains out of nonexistent molehills. I also don’t see the need to bring back these threads after months and years of them being posted, especially when none of what you wrote about was even implemented since then.
I feel as if the Unturned Community is largely fine with P2W being implemented in servers. There’s a reason they’re so popular, otherwise there wouldn’t be an issue of kids buying OP kits and servers trying to bandwagon on the trend, flooding the server lists with the same old plugins and donor statuses over and over again. It’s not my fault if Little Timmy uses his Christmas money to buy Admin status on some shitty Washington RP server. Sure he’s making it unfair and is getting screwed by a server owner trying to make a quick buck, but if you don’t want that there’s plenty of Vanilla servers to choose from. Can’t say they’re active, but hey it seems people aren’t into that gameplay anymore. To quote Pulpfreewater: “Again, no one is defending P2W, just the ability of servers to do what they want, also there is a reason P2W servers get paid, its because playing on them is fun.”
The Paywall is still widely unconfirmed about the details of what it’ll do and if it will even exist in the first place. It seems the majority of the Forums are on board with a paywall to access Official Vanilla servers, and are fine with them being staffed. You speak in your post about the demand for official servers being so small to the point where a large zerg clan could effectively hold the single official server hostage, yet there’s no paywall yet and the true extent of how much of the playerbase supports or will play on these servers is still unknown, let alone is this will even happen, because while probable, it’s impossible to know if this will play out as you predict since you’re biased against it and create strawman arguments.
Abusive staff is something that’s impossible to predict, since not only is the foundation of UII still in development, but there’s no plugins whatsoever (that I know of) thus far for UII, let alone ones that allow staff to easily abuse their powers. Especially when you focus on Official Servers and selecting staff for them, that in itself is still far from development, and it’s impossible to predict what’s going to happen. I have faith that Nelson will handpick qualified, competent staff over random players. There’s a reason Molt and Yarrrr are so loved in the community. They’re laid back, don’t abuse their power, and regularly interact with the players, both as staff and as other players.
I’ve already written a lot about purchases in-game, but I’m also fine with paid plugins. A modder is free to decide if they want to accept a commision (if they offer it in the first place), or if they want to create a better version of an existing plugin for a premium cost. It gives server owners what they want, and provides income for modders. Both parties leave happy, a win-win! You also talk about how the only servers that use paid plugins are P2W servers, but it’s extremely unlikely that 100% of those purchases are P2W servers, and by restricting access to premium paid plugins, you’re going to hurt small, independent, F2P servers trying to improve their quality simply out of enjoying the game.
To conclude, nothing you’ve ‘warned about’ has even in the slightest come true. UII is still a shell of what’s to come, and servers are rarely played, plugins are nonexistent, a paywall is still a long time from even being started working on by Nelson, and there’s no staff abusing innocent players out of pure malice and injustice. This post feels less like you trying to better the game, and more like you rambling on about personal political opinions, and ideas that the majority of the community disagrees with, even seeming like you’re trying to necro all of these four threads under a single thread. The game isn’t even out for public release yet, so I don’t understand what you’re getting all hot and bothered about, going on and on as if the game’s a failure even before launch and even hinting at yet another post targeting Rocketmod, which you already tried to discuss about in the Plugins thread, when all 4 of your posts could be summarized in a single sentence and still be more coherent: ‘Capitalism bad, hierarchies bad, what I like good’ (inb4 ‘this but unironically’). It’s repetitive and the majority of the forums disagrees with you.

People are confused about the meaning behind your post, and instead of explaining it to us, you double down and act as if we’re too ignorant to understand and/or care. I’d really appreciate honestly debating these topics, since hearing other people’s opinions on the state of the game has long been something I enjoy listening to, but with the way you’re handling criticisms of your posts, I doubt that’s possible in good faith.
