I’m just going to say, that this is on rain right now and since this thread has gone on for 105 replies, I hope that molton and yarr understand that, things are going to get heated and everyone but rain is not blamed/punished for it.

ok maybe when i said his whole injection of politics (“potential problems that’ll effect the games future”) is probably a better way of saying it, a ploy to be smarter, I wasn’t very confident and it sounded kinda mean. This just confirms it. This is why throughout the thread i’ve been questioning the incentive/want to reply because it’s just a ploy to be smarter/feel better.
I think the best thing was to not reply at all, but then again this is the internet so is this really that bad? think about it.

You’re right but, I was making individual responses to multiple people, a tl;dr may not be accurate but here I go.
Rain is making an argument people are making tons of points and counterarguments against it and he’s not taking it
it’s kinda hard to not go for the tone/intentions but it’s also really hard to make a point to get across with him. so it’s asking yourself “which one do I do?” Or do nothing at all
like ok rain made a bad thread, I personally don’t care, why should you? it’s not the end of the world.

Well I wouldn’t necessarily agree that these are bad ideas. From these posts, I can at least, tell he really cares about the game, and he does bring up a few good points. These are things HE’S worried about, he’s not shitting on the game, he’s not saying it’s bad, he’s saying it’s going to have these particular problems! I don’t think many people noticed that. I see everyone basically shitting on Rain, going “He’s political!” or “Rain bad” (exaggeration of course) and then he goes “Fuck you, and you, and you” rinse and repeat. Besides this post, I’ve seen him bring up his political beliefs only in a reply with…
...a disclaimer that he's about to get political inside of...
…this spoiler, where he goes on to say what he thinks.
Only after people started saying “He’s political” did he get political…
I see both sides (that being Rain, and the rest of the forum) being equally toxic, with nobody realizing that both sides (in a way) really fucking similar. Both care about the game, wanting it to be as good as possible. Rain isn’t just shitting on the game, saying how terrible it’s going to be, but (again) I think he’s trying to help in places he thinks are necessary. (Now I know this sounds like I’m saying Rain’s wrong but that’s not the case, I’m just trying to stay as neutral as possible)
Now does that mean I agree with everything he’s saying?

Just because Rain “worries” about different things than you do, doesn’t mean he’s a bad person. Although I am not here to say that Rain didn’t screw up by being so aggressive many, many times.
Even with this post, you knew what was going to happen. Maybe you didn’t expect this reaction, but you sure as shit added more gasoline to the fire.
