New update

Hello, I want to suggest a new update, namely, since you have already updated ground transport, update aviation too. I suggest making manual speed change on planes, so we can make control more comfortable. And I suggest adding new functions to the fighter, such as closing the wheels in flight, and this will increase the speed, and in extreme cases, new weapons in the form of missile launchers, no matter how it sounds. I hope you will notice my post, good luck in developing the game :slight_smile:

Nah, this is too much work and not actually needed. Aviational transport is fine as it is currently.

Yes, but I think that it is still possible to add the ability to adjust the speed during flight, this will add new possibilities to the game

I think no need to update aviation. It is good. I am already used to it as it is right now. If you want to close the wheels then there are some mods that allow you to do that.

I like the idea of retractable wheels for the jet. Perhaps ‘CTRL’ could be used to toggle them. Even though it already exists as a mod like TSB mentioned, I think it would be cool to see in vanilla.

Additionally, I previously suggested introducing a new type of fuel for planes and helicopters, along with some ideas for adding more realistic physics. While these suggestions were originally made for Unturned 4, I think it might be possible to implement these features in 3.x as well.

Helicoptes the way they are right now are imo stupid. They should act like the arid one does but without needing to rotate the whole model by 45 degrees. When you exit air vehicles they should retain their momentum that they had while flying and not just drop out of the sky like stones. If Nelson were to improve them, I’d look at gta helicopters and planes, they are controllable and fun to fly while basically having the same controls. The helicopters in gta feel way lighter than the clunky ones in unturned. I also love the jet fuel idea from Pablo, maybe you could restrict it to vehicles with turbines, for example the tank or jet or helicopters but keep normal fuel for props. The sounds for ignition on helicopters could be tweaked also, so that the heli can only fly up and generate lift when the ignition sound is over and the blades are fast enough. Same could go for any vehicle in unturned currently though.

Well, maybe vanilla helicopters are indeed a bit too slow. Now if I remember correctly, land vehicles also have a problem with retaining momentum when you exit them at speed (they retain way too little momentum you could make use of, but they do keep just enough to roll down in the water when you are not looking. My biggest gripe is the fact wheels are more detailed than the vehicles now. And the steering wheel placement is goofy - hands stick out of where the windshield is supposed to be most of the time. I suppose that is a bit too much work to fix though.
