Vehicle Demo Performance Thread

I figured a dedicated thread to this wouldn’t be a bad idea. (Apologies in advance if something like this is already a think and I’m just being blind)

Basically, feel free to post your specs, the amount of frames you got, and what settings you used. I’ll probably add my information later to the post, but anyways, here’s a basic idea of what your response probably should look like:

Specs (graphics card, ram, etc):

Frames (10-14, 20-30, 40-60, etc):

Settings (Low-Medium-High):

i3 6100, 1050ti, 8 gigs of ram 140fps with everything on low and around 50 with everything on epic.

One interesting thing that I have noticed is that turning off foliage to having it on epic is only a 10 or so frame difference. Im not sure how it is on lower end machines, but if its fairly consistent it would probably be possible to force foliage on.

i7-7700k, GTX 1070, 16 ram.

Around 450 on low and 180-200 on Epic

idk what im running on, i just know that it doesnt run well epics tyle

checking dxdiag tells me that it’s an AMD Radeon (this computer is an old hand-me-down) and it has 8 gigabytes of ram and three gigahertz of processor? not sure what that means epci style

AMD A10-7800, AMD Radeon R7, 12GB

Around 5-15 fps, though not sure if the game even manages to set itself to low settings.

The game seems to be very gpu based so thats probably whats bottlenecking you, because 3ghz isnt terrible. Try to find what your gpu is

Taking advantage I would like to ask a question for you in comparison to 3.0 the game had less or equal frames?

The game has worse FPS, but that’s mostly due to the really fast season changing.

This video is in real time

Also it’s just a demo neither is nor a beta so optimizations and improvements of performance should be made I think Nelson commented this in devlog # 17.

Doing research comparing hardwares by seeing gameplays of 3.0, in the Unturned II settings @Oyamat run better already in de @ThatGuyYouDontKnow was worse Aj gaming also had a low fps comparing Aj gaming had 30 fps in the middle, something in common is that everyone who has performance problem use AMD cards or the game is poorly optimized for AMD.

I would try on mine but I don’t have the code for the beta

Comp 1-
Specs: AMD FX-6300 (CPU), GeForce GTX 750 (GPU), 8 GB RAM, 1920x1080 resolution
Frames: 55-65 on all low, ~25 on all ultra

Shadows seem to make the biggest hit to frames, as putting it on ultra can take 10-15 frames away, while every other option on Ultra seems to only take 2-3 at most. Putting shadows on Medium with everything else on Ultra gets me a stable 30 FPS (or 35 with Shadows on low).

Comp 2-
Specs: AMD Athlong X4 860K Quad Core Processor, GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, 8 GB RAM, 1920x1080 res.
Frames: Going from what I remember, around 120-140 FPS on all low, while 40-50 on Ultra

GPU definitely seems to be the biggest bottleneck here.

EDIT: Edited with correct info for 2nd computer.

I’m getting 129 FPS on ultra everything @ 1680x1050

My FPS flunctuates between 10-20, with all settings low.

@ThatGuyYouDontKnow clearly you didn’t set graphics to low successfully, because the individual grass blades are visible

Yeah I tried it back now, I get a stable 24-25 fps now, so I’d say that the game is on par with 3.0.

Well then as surely Nelson will optimize the game more than this is just a demo Unturned 2 has a huge probability of being lighter than the unturned 3.0

Don’t expect too much with deferred lightning, at least as it is out of the box

huh? I did not understand.

Deferred lightining, don’t you remember it from Unturned 3.x? Deferred, forward, you know. It is the technique used to render.
