3.0 armor is kind of a joke. People actively avoid spec ops and just use normal military or even thief clothing just for storage.
Why is this? Because TTK isn’t impacted enough between types of armor.
I’d like to suggest a somewhat basic tier list for armor that doesn’t just end in regular military, but instead goes a bit further. We’ve already established Excursion zones are going to be hell, so why not some end game end game stuff that comes with downsides but unique abilities? (more on that…
This is my take on armor in Unturned II. It features my subjective opinion as a militaria enthuasist. My opinions stem from one of @tehswordninja ’s Armor in II sources in Pineridge, me. I would like also to preface that a few of my ideas are streamlined versions of some of his concepts (more like he complicated mine lmao). This post is made assuming that UII will use the same spawn style types (Ranger, Military, Police) and only focuses in the vest area. I will not touch upon the the way invent…
I believe this idea was never mentioned earlier only a day or 2 ago. So I would like to expand that idea to add a new concept to Unturned regarding guns and clothes.
We all know that each clothing has its own armor multiplier. And each part of the body has it’s own multiplier as well. I’m not gonna go over these, since anyone can go to the Unturned Wiki and check the stats for the clothes and the hitbox multiplier.
Anywho, moving on to the important bit, guns in 4.0 will be having different ca…
In Unturned currently, armor is kinda simple. It just reduces damage, and maybe that can be kept along with this new idea that I have.
Basically, you can have armor that instead of reducing damage, it completely blocks damage, but also has its own HP. Basically, above your HP, you would see the health of your “helmet” and your “vest” or “body armor”.
Wearing a helmet would maybe reduce vision, and a vest would reduce speed.
Wearing these would essentially give you more health. A standard play…
You can read these for a start. Armor in 3.0 is really broken and boring, only really working in gating certain amounts of damage i.e snipers one shotting you if you have no hat vs snipers two shotting you if you have anything on your head. Hopefully Nelson realizes this and implements armor in a way that is dynamic and offers multiple playstyles instead of: grab this for zero downsides and all upsides, and then forget about it.
