Below is a list of suggestions on locks, doors, and how to get past them. Notice how they describe what should be added, how it should be balanced, what niche it could fill, etcetera. Notice how OP has simply several one to six word names in a bulleted list. This list doesn’t have any explanation of what these things are and how they should be implemented or balanced. This list doesn’t explain what makes the listed items different from any of the suggestions below.
Tldr: a whole buncha locks, and how to bypass them.
numeric keypadsNelson mentioned these butttt
numeric codes instead of being locked for everyone outside the group.
ability to be seen by someone else through binoculars, so basically someone can see you input the code, and copy it.
keys flash a color or have an animated “push down” - making it easier to put it in.
Key locked doorsIt says it all basically, but here you go.
only can be opened if a person has a “key” in their inven…
The simplest of doors are just boards or sheets on hinges, they might provide some cover.
Doors can be improved by attaching, or possibly being crafted with, door knobs, and locks.
Door knobs and locks are each available in a variety of forms, with varying amounts of hit points and methods of unlocking.
The differences between door knobs and locks are
– Only one set of door knobs can be placed on a door.
– Door knobs are accessible from either side of a door.
– Even when it is unlocked, zomb…
I think that on vehicles, you should be able to pick locks using screwdrivers, wire, etc. Maybe because there will be “locks” that go on base doors, instead of metal doors being locked all the time, there should be different tiers of locks that are easier to pick than others. For better locks, the lockpicks have a higher chance of breaking, and you’d be better at picking locks with a “lock picking” skill tree.
A copy of rust idea than i wait view in unturned. Its simple.
A code lock to place in doors, windows and trapdoors with a password of 4-6 characters (0-9) Just numbers.
If you miss code 4 times you die
any people with acess code can change password.
Peoples without password or new password cant not use the door or the mechanisms of same
Maybe code locks can be used in
Sentry Guns - Peoples without code the sentry go shoot
Vehicles - Peoples without code dont pilot car
Chests and …
This might have been done, but I want to post to keep my regular tag.
Basically in military and science locations some doors to compounds and there armouries. There would be different levels of key cards, like green (low) orange (medium) red (high) prehaps even a secret tier that can access super secret locations.
Any key can open a door below it, these keys could also expire possibly for balance, a new key would be required. The keys would expire after use to much, not on a date. Higher keys …
I would really like to see some form of Code Locks implemented to Unturned. I would use them in this example: I have a PvP group and I want only certain members to have access to certain doors and lockers etc. This would be a fine addition to Unturned!
There should be an ability to put a codelock to wooden Doors so you won’t have to make an metal or even a vault door all the time
(Pls don’t rip out my throat i have no idea if that’s already planned.)
Now, this is a pretty simple idea.
Basically, you can set a combination for your locker, so that only people you trust can have access.
It’s a somewhat realistic concept, so…
I think it would be good for RP and some survival servers if you could steal items from unsuspecting victims, this along with lock picking could be good buffs for thief’s.
How little you are detected (say from an exclamation mark with an arrow) depends on your thief skill, if your a poor thief you would just alert the player with a warning and have some explaining to do.
Good thief’s wouldt be detected as much.
Lock picking could only work on the maps buildings doors allowing you unlock doors…
Alright, preface to this.
PLEASE DON’T FUCKING KILL ME IT’S ONLY A SUGGESTION
According to the Trello wishlist, metal locking will be a thing of the past, and replaced with things like keys, etc. Now here’s my idea. If metal doors do return, they should offer another benefit that isn’t just increased health. They will be impervious to the battering ram, and wooden doors will be forced open with it.
The Battering Ram
Epic rarity, police-grade spawn
One use only, after that …
So currently in 3.x, raiding mostly consists of blowing up a wall, killing everyone inside, then grabbing the loot and leaving. This gets stale rather quickly. In 4 raiding a base should have many different approaches.
#1 - Loud and Quick
The classic raiding style, this consists of planting an explosive on a wall, or firing a a machine gun to get in the base. It might be effective, but anyone in the base will know that you’re coming.
Smashing walls with melee
In Unturned 3 aft…

It came to my mind that players really advanced on thieving in 4.x should be capable of doing THIS
Of course, I have to clarify, anyone attempting this would need the adecuate tools and skill (not with a hair pin or a piece of wire), as there will be locks harder to hack than others, depending on the place and situation. This is meant to open like a second interface on which the player must interact with the lock manually, so thi…
Vehicles need keys to turn on, they would not be hard to find every house that has a garage or car should have there in some room, keys can be used to lock the car if the car is unlocked the thief will need the key of the car or vehicle to connect it or use the contact between wires thanks to a special skill of advanced level. Cars, trucks and motorcycles should have different keys so the motorcycles key can not be used to start a truck.
Just a simple post about doors.(or is it)
tapping “F” will open the door quickly, creating quite a lot of noise. Completed in half a second or less (basically the character will turn the doorknob and ram the door at the same time, or pull it open quickly. )
holding “F” will open the door slowly, allowing you to sneak into a room without alerting zombies. Takes around 2 seconds. (possibly allow the person to stop opening the door part of the way through and look around the ro…
